Cloudy water can be caused by a number of factors. The most common seems to be the size of the spa’s filter, and the condition that it is in. We recommend that you clean your filter(s) weekly. This helps to keep body oils from building up on the filter’s paper, causing it to lose performance.
At some point, even washing a filter will not help if there is too much buildup. You would then want to use a degreasing agent to clean contaminants from the filter. These could include naturally occurring body oils, sunscreen, body lotions, etc…
Keeping a filter working at its optimum level is the number one way to avoid cloudy water in your spa.
